Plus Plus Internship
During the summer of 2024, I had the opportunity of working with the design team at PlusPlus for a Graphic Design Internship. I was able to work on a few projects for their January 2025 product launch as well as some experimental projects. Working with professionals in the field, I gained real world experience with team communication, file handling, and time management. I also had the opportunity to improve my skills in the Adobe Creative Suite.

These instruction booklets go inside their respective build tubes. They are visual instructions to help kids and adults piece together the build. Contributions included instruction testing to make sure they were easy to follow, color sampling the illustration for solid blocks, exporting and importing files, image placement, and working within a given template.

These are the labels that are printed and put on the respective build tube. This project worked with placement and working in a small format cylindrical tube and being sure important information is visible from the front. It also involved editing paid artist work in Adobe Illustrator to make the illustration work best for the needed format.

This rebranding was not used, but was done as an exploration into branding for a product for kids, that is most likely advertised for adults to purchase. It worked with icon development, logo design, and visual research. Beginning with font exploration and associated icon design, it then developed into a more refined path with implementing the caterpillar icon with the logotype and pairing it with the brand logo.

This short-term project was to make the PlusPlus’s story highlights reflect the each category with an associated icon, and to bring a colorful background that represents the energy of the brand. The internship ended before it was completed, but the beginning contributions I made led to the development of the final product.
